This month we are shining a light on our Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Manager, Brad Diehl.

Meet Brad Diehl.

Brad is the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Manager at HR, where he is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting sales data to help our team make informed decisions. Brad describes HR as being enterprising, energetic, and caring. Outside of HR, he likes to spend time with his family as well as enjoying the great outdoors, exercising, reading, and traveling.

What is your role at HR?

 As the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Manager, I am responsible for processing tracing and chargeback data from distributors, submitting GPO sales reports, modifying the CRM for the Sales team, and more recently we have implemented Power BI which will allow us to pull data from our various systems (SASY, CRM, QAD, Thrive, etc.) into a central reporting application that will provide management with better insight into the organization.

How long have you been working at HR?

A little over a year and a half

What is the most challenging part of your job?

 I worked for over 16 years in the home remodeling industry, so switching to the health care industry has been a challenge.

Has there been a favorite moment for you while at HR?

Shortly after I started, we had a pumpkin carving contest.  I was new, so I assumed everyone took the contest seriously.  I painted the pumpkin blue and put glasses on it to represent Vision 2022.  It was a pretty cool pumpkin.  But apparently, I went overboard, because the judges thought that Colby (our President) made the pumpkin, so it was disqualified! 🙁  To make things worse, Colby actually won, felt bad I was disqualified and ending up giving me the prize!  It was awkward at the time, but looking back now it makes me laugh.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family, we have two daughters and a son, as well as being outdoors, exercising, reading, and traveling.

What is a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I wore glasses for over 25 years before getting LASIK a few years ago.
