Employee Spotlight – Ian Desenberg
Welcome back to our Employee Spotlight series. Here at HR, we feel very fortunate to be surrounded by such amazing colleagues, each possessing a diversity of skills and expertise.
This month we are shining a light on our Production Scheduler, Ryan Spradlin.
Meet Ian Desenberg
Ian joined HR in August 2020 as the Production Scheduler, where he is responsible for creating schedules for our production team to follow in order to produce our finished goods. Outside of HR, he coaches Boys Lacrosse at Central York High School and enjoys golfing and playing video games.
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day for me involves checking our case counts to ensure we are on target to produce what is scheduled, make necessary changes to limit the impact on production, and also communicating with our operation team to make sure we are all on the same page to meet our goals.
What is your go-to productivity trick?
I always like to make sure I have a daily checklist of tasks I need to get done for the day. When I have those tasks written down on paper, I am more motivated to get them completed.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is having the privilege to communicate with different areas of the operation team as well as the quality and maintenance team in order to produce an efficient schedule.
What advice would you give to a new team member at HR?
My advice to a new team member of HR would simply be to learn from your mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes and human errors occur but making sure you learn from them so the situation is prevented in the future is essential.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I wish I could learn how to cook delicious meals.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I’ve coached Boys Lacrosse at Central York High school for three years now, I enjoy golfing, playing video games, and spending time with my friends and family.
