Employee Spotlight – Rodney Seifert
Welcome back to our Employee Spotlight series. Here at HR, we feel very fortunate to be surrounded by such amazing colleagues, each possessing a diversity of skills and expertise.
This month we are shining a light on one of our Maintenance Technicians, Rodney Seifert.
Meet Rodney Seifert.
Rodney is a Maintenance Technician at HR and helps make sure our production lines run smoothly. His favorite part of his job is helping people learn more about what makes their machines operate more efficiently. Outside of work, Rodney enjoys fly fishing, fine art (oil painting), woodworking, and rebuilding old cars.
What is your role at HR?
I am a Maintenance Technician. I help with machine troubleshooting and repair, as well as preventative and predictive maintenance and fabrication.
How long have you been working at HR?
I have been with HR for almost a year and a half.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is helping people learn more about what makes their machines operate more efficiently. I like helping them help themselves.
What advice would you give to a new team member at HR?
We all make mistakes. Learn from them, own them without blaming others, and move forward in life with more knowledge. It’s the only way to be if you’re constantly learning.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to learn how to land an airplane.
You’re happiest when…
I’m riding my Harley.
What are some hobbies you do in your free time?
Fly fishing, fine art (oil painting), woodworking, rebuilding old cars with friends (I am currently working on a 63′ Ford Stepside pickup). I also enjoy hanging out with my family once a month on the weekends as a rare treat.
