This month we are shining a light on our Operations Excellence Project Manager, Andrew LaFountain.
Meet Andrew LaFountain.
Andrew is the Operations Excellence Project Manager, where he manages all organizational projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. His favorite part of his job is being able to build relationships with all of HR’s team members. Outside of work, you can find Andrew on the golf course or snowboarding down a mountain.

Operations Excellence Project Manager
How long have you been working at HR?
2 years as of July 1st
What skills do you leverage in your role?
Leadership, organization, communication, and managing expectations.
What does a typical day look like for you?
My day typically consists of communicating project statuses to core team members and managing constraints to project objectives. Each day can be different depending on what project is the primary focus and what specific tasks are up to execute.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The opportunity to support my colleagues and HR’s mission. In Project Management, you are exposed to all levels of the organization, allowing me to build relationships with all of our team members.
What has been your favorite project at HR?
Too many to count! I’d have to say the facility reconstruction project!
What advice would you give to a new team member at HR?
Apply your experience to support HR’s mission. Build relationships and set personal goals. Operate with a creative mindset, “can do” attitude, and be a contributor to the positive culture.
What are some hobbies you do in your free time?
Traveling, playing golf and hockey, snowboarding, and spending time with family and friends.
