Over the last 18 months, HR Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has undergone a multi-million dollar expansion project to upgrade its manufacturing facility.

The expansion underlines HR’s commitment to continuously reinvest in its operations to support the growth of the business. For years, HR has continuously invested in manufacturing technologies to improve efficiency and product quality.

This strategic initiative has expanded HR’s overall facility footprint from 24,370 to 99,058 sq ft. This includes an additional 9,390 sq ft. in manufacturing space, accommodating 10 production and packaging lines, including a new bottle filling line. The additional space also includes two state-of-the-art compounding suites and warehouse capacity totaling 74,688 sq ft. The expansion will allow HR to increase production volumes by up to 200 percent.

The bottle filling line can run up to 60 bottles/minute.

“The expansion supports our vision for growth and creates the opportunity to better serve our customers in all areas of the healthcare industry and beyond,” said Colby Wiesman, President. “We are increasing our capacity for existing product offerings and expanding into new service areas, such as contract manufacturing, which will enable HR to serve as a true partner and trusted advisor to our clients.”

Since the expansion began, HR has hired over 36 new manufacturing and regulatory personnel and is expected to hire at least 10 more in the next 12 months to keep up with the demand.

HR’s manufacturing facility is cGMP compliant, ISO 13485:2016 and MDSAP certified and is proud to manufacture consumable products here in the United States.

Construction on the expansion is expected to be completed by October.
