This month we are shining a light on our Production Supervisor, Luz Chow-Kai.
Meet Luz Chow-Kai.
In her role as Production Supervisor, Luz leads by example and manages HR’s production teams ensuring we make the best quality products. While she has only been with HR for a short while, she has made an immediate impact on our team. Outside of work, Luz enjoys spending time outside, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
What is your role at HR?
I am the Production Supervisor where I manage production and employees to make the best quality product for our customers.
How long have you been working at HR?
I have been working with HR for approximately 5 months.
What skills do you leverage in your role?
Lead by example, accountability, organized, and earn respect.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I work with support teams, such as QC, Maintenance, Logistics, etc., to ensure production goes as smooth as possible. I also schedule employees on the line, have lead stand-up meetings, and keep track of labor time(time cards), cost reports. I am also often on the production floor to support the team as problems occur.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I enjoy it all! I especially enjoy working with the awesome HR Team and making a difference to improve production.
Overall, I enjoy building a team that takes pride in making the best quality product for our customers.
What advice would you give to a new team member at HR?
Do the best job possible and show that you can make a difference for the better of the Company.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love the outdoors, listening to music, and spending time with my family (kids & grandkids).
What is a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I love nature.
