HR Celebrates National Volunteer Month

April is National Volunteer Month, and the HR team celebrating by volunteering with local community organizations throughout York County. HR organized three volunteer events for our employees to participate in, including a beautification project, a home build, and the packing of emergency food boxes.

Here are some of the organizations we volunteered with in April!

Re-Source York

On Monday, April 19, HR team members volunteered at Re-Source York to help clean up an overgrown garden bed and prepare several garden beds for spring planting.

York Habitat for Humanity

On Wednesday, April 21, the HR team volunteered at the Chestnut Street Revitalization Project with the York Habitat for Humanity. Team members had the opportunity to pour concrete and helped prepare for the foundation to be built.

York County Food Bank

On Friday, April 23, employees volunteered at the York County Food Bank and helped pack emergency food boxes with canned and dry food products. The emergency food boxes are distributed each week to almost 1,000 York County households.

Employees who participated in the volunteer events said it was a great week and a wonderful opportunity to get together with their coworkers and give back to the community.
